Veterinary Physiotherapy

Restoring comfort, confidence, and movement

Physiotherapy is at the heart of what we do at STAR Rehab Referrals. It can make a huge difference for pets recovering after surgery or injury, living with long-term pain, or simply needing help to stay strong and mobile as they age.

Book a Physio consult

Our veterinary physiotherapists work closely with your vet (and any specialist involved) as part of our wider rehab team. That means your pet gets a plan that’s personal, practical, and built around what they need and what they enjoy so progress feels positive for everyone.

What is veterinary physiotherapy?

Veterinary physiotherapy helps pets move more comfortably by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and confidence. We use a mix of gentle hands-on techniques, guided exercises, and supportive therapies.

Every pet starts with an individual assessment. We look at posture, how they walk, muscle tightness, and joint movement — then create a plan that targets the areas that matter most.

How physiotherapy can help

Physiotherapy can help your pet to:

  • Build strength and stability
  • Reduce stiffness and discomfort
  • Recover safely after surgery or injury
  • Move more confidently after setbacks
  • Lower the risk of future injury

A team approach, all under one roof

Because we’re multidisciplinary, we can combine physiotherapy with hydrotherapy, laser therapy, shockwave, regenerative medicine, and diagnostics when needed, making care smoother, quicker, and more joined-up.

What to expect

First visits include a full assessment and a clear plan. Sessions are usually 60 minutes, and many pets find them relaxing. We’ll also show you simple home exercises that fit easily into everyday life.
