CT & MRI Imaging

Advanced imaging when we need a bigger picture

Sometimes we need more detail than X-rays or ultrasound can provide. CT and MRI imaging allows us to investigate complex orthopaedic or spinal cases with much greater clarity.

We organise these scans through trusted specialist imaging partners who visit us on-site. The results are used to shape a focused rehab and pain-management plan.

What’s the difference between CT and MRI scans for pets?

CT is excellent for bones and joints - useful for subtle bone change, complex injuries, and surgical planning.

MRI is best for soft tissues and the nervous system - particularly spinal cord, discs, ligaments, and muscles.

What to expect during your pet’s CT or MRI scan?

Scans usually require light sedation or anaesthesia, so your pet stays still and comfortable. The scan itself typically takes 30–90 minutes, depending on what’s being imaged but your pet will need to stay with us for a few hours whilst they recover.  Results are shared with us and your vet, and we’ll explain what they mean and what happens next.
